This is what caused the funny noise in Bens car on the way back from the Clear Lake tour.

 

The Pinion Gear had a catastrophic failure.  Although the extent of the damage was not realized until after the rear end was dismantled. 

 

After Searching High And Low and making a LOT Of telephone calls Ben Finally hit Pay Dirt. The last call was to Alex Janke of the Diablo A's and his response was "SURE" I have one and I will even come and show you how to install it. After several hours Alex had the differential back together as good as new.
