Text Box: Welcome

Let's hear a BIG AH-OO-GA for the Newest Members to the Capitol A's

Bob Blackburn

Bob is a retired maintenance worker for the fire district where he worked for seventeen years. Bob was a member of the Capitol A's briefly six years ago. At that time, he had a 1929 Sport coupe and enjoyed the many activities of our club. Some of his interests include antique firearms and hunting.
Bob currently has a 1929 Town Sedan that needs a little help ( in pieces ) so he is looking forward to having a seminar or two on the Re-birth of a Sport Coupe.
Welcome to our club and we hope to see you on the road enjoying the pleasures of the Model A hobby

Steve Tufts

Steve Has attended the last two meetings as well as the last two seminars. He spoke to Tom Urban about his car and it's needs. Although Steve uses a wheel chair to get around he can still handle his Model A like a pro. He was explaining to all of us about building a rack on the back of his Model A to accommodate his wheel chair. It sounds like a neat contraption. We are looking forward to having Steve join us on our many tours and activities.

Text Box: The 2010 NCRG Round-up is “A” Go!

Good News! The 2010 NCRG Round-up is set for May 21-23, 2010. All activities will be at the Italian Benevolent Society Picnic Grounds located between Sutter Creek and Jackson. There will not be a host hotel. At this time round-up information is limited but you may link to the NCRG website from our website to get the latest update. The NCRG website states “There’s no need to wait for the registration form, the motels are accepting your reservations now.” We have blocked 15 rooms for the Capital A’s at the Best Western Amador Inn Phone 209-223-0211 at a room rate of $69.95 per night. Amenities include a dine-in breakfast buffet at Denny’s next door and a pool. If you plan to go to the meet you should call the hotel and tell them you want to put one of our reserved rooms in your name. Rooms are available on a first come first served basis. Some motels have already filled. So act now if you plan on attending. Round-up registration forms will be available in January. We will have more information at the October meeting.

If you have any questions contact Connie Tarczy at 608-1943.

Vancouver Model A Meet

The Model A Times is sponsoring a tour for Model A's from Sacramento to Vancouver for those who want to drive their A's up the coast of  California, Oregon and Washington.  The tour will start in Healdsburg on July 26.  The purpose is to explore the country on the way to the convention which begins August 1.  All hotel reservations will be made for you and drivers can travel each day at their own pace from hotel to hotel where the participants will gather each evening for debriefing and fellowship.  A trouble truck will follow along to assist in repairs and towing. If you are interested in this tour, send an email or note to John@ModelATimes.com with Summer Tour Info in the subject line.  The Times has been doing this tour for several years with high marks for fun and competent organization.  Hurry to sign up as the registration is limited to the first 50 participants.
